Last Bomber of my career...

So here I stand; my Bomber career has finally come to and end. Four years of incredible times, parties and memories (and lack of some memories) that ultimately had more of an effect on my life's decisions than any and all classes taken at UW. I should say that frosh leading with village, VOC, was intimately tied in with the whole Bomber process as the friends I made there were the best patrons and future co-workers that I could ask for.
For a bit of a recap, it started one Wednesday afternoon on the Bomber patio in July 2001. I was sharing a pitcher with Brent when my buddy Reuben, a doorstaff at the time, said that Pye wanted to see me in the office. Christine Pye (big proponent of the hoop earring) was a sup (pronounced soop) at the time and a classmate (or lab partner?) of Stashuk's. She asked me what I was doing that night, and I said probably drinking (who was I kidding, I was at Bomber every Wed and Sat). She said they were short on staff and asked whether I wanted a job? I took a few minutes to decide....I really enjoyed drinking at Bomber even then...but eventually the red golf shirt won me over. I'd always wanted one of the Bomber staff shirts.....and now I sit with 7 or 8 different ones in my closet.
There are too many highlights to cover in one entry (it'd probably require a book....hmmm) but needless to say there was a co-op term I almost failed because I spent so much time making posters for the bar, many a Thursday/Sunday morning dragging myself home or to work or class after staffs, a co-op term spent at the bar and 6 horrible months where the Bomber was closed...
...and now, I join the other Bomber alumni that I count as friends, partners in crime and inspirations: Stone Cold, Moose, Pye, Dilli, Loobs, Cheryl, Dee, Surf, Chizel, Uche, Gavey, Thudds, Sarge....the list goes on.....
I especially want to thank anyone I've ever worked with, anyone who ever bought a drink or food from me as well as anyone who saw me out and about and yelled Bomber!
I can only hope that anywhere I work in the future is half as fun as the one and only Bombshelter Pub!
Cheers!

What makes that picture priceless is the Livestrong bracelet. More like Drinkstrong. Which I'm sure you did. Now nobody I know works at the Bomber.

Ya, I like to take some credit in Pye offering you the job. I recall her asking what sort of employee you'd be, so I obviously had to make up some cock-o-meenie story. Guess it all panned out in the end. I worked there first, but you definitely worked there longer.

I volunteer to edit the book.
